LEO MACO is a Latino cinematographer and director based in Oakland, California. His upbringing as a first-generation Peruvian-American has inspired him to focus on stories that challenge conventions and celebrate culture and identity.

Leo's documentary and narrative films have been recognized through multiple Vimeo Staff Picks and screened at film festivals across the country, including LA Shorts, SFFILM, and SXSW. His work can also be seen on platforms such as HBO and Netflix. In 2023, Leo was awarded the Alternative Exposure Grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. His latest collaboration, "Through The Storm," premiered at the Big Sky Documentary Festival, where it received the Artistic Vision Award.
